WE TURN OUR ATTENTION TO TRAVEL: AN ANN0UNCEMENT FOR OUR READERS

With all the turmoil going on around us, folks, I thought it might be time to take a bit of a turn in the regular JAMES JOURNALIST columns. So for the next few months we're going to change the focus to something a little more pleasant than the political and news coverage we've been doing for so long.

In place of the same old same old, we will be doing a bit of travel coverage for the foreseeable future and the first of our upcoming feature pieces is going to focus on travel abroad, which we've all been holding back on for the last two years.

Look for a major article on the resurgence of London as a travel destination for Americans. We'll be going over great new places to stay in the Capital of England, as well as a slew of terrific restaurants, old and new. London is the most popular place for American tourists so our readers are in for a special treat with the upcoming LONDON NOW story we have planned.

In future posts we will go further into London as a destination for Americans and thereafter we'll skip over to the Continent for a look at other major cities, like Paris, Rome and Brussels.

Our first foray into travel will take us to a new discovery we've just made called the Academy Hotel in Bloomsbury, just a stone's throw from the British Museum and Russell Square Park. This is an off-the-beaten-path hostelry that is quietly gaining a reputation among the cognoscenti of London, so we think you'll be keen on what we've found there.

Stay tuned. And leave the politics and news for everyone else. At least, for a while.
